Hampden Hosts Youth Leadership Academy Christmas Party

Sheriff Nick Cocchi and the Hampden County Sheriff’s Office hosted their first-ever Youth Leadership Academy Christmas Party at Brightwood Elementary School in Springfield. This festive event spread holiday joy to over 400 children and their families, including Youth Leadership Academy campers and their households.

Thanks to community sponsors like the Jay Caron Community Impact Foundation, Springfield Together, Inc., and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation program, the office was able to bring smiles to the faces of more than 1,000 children across the region.

Special guests included Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno, and the party featured gift distributions for kids, holiday arts & crafts, games and activities, visits with Santa Claus, live holiday music by DJ Munch, and Hampden's therapy dogs and Mounted Patrol Unit spreading cheer.

Sheriff Cocchi expressed his heartfelt thanks to all our sponsors and community partners, saying, “Their kindness allows us to make this season special for so many families. It’s a privilege to give back to the community that means so much to us.”
