NCSO hosted Sheriff’s Summer Safety Fest

MSA

More than 250 people attended the Norfolk County Sheriff's Summer Safety Fest in Braintree. The event was at the Sheriff’s Public Safety complex on Washington Street, and provided activities, resources, information, and demonstrations for participants of all ages.

Attendees pose for a picture after getting face paint during the event.

“This was a great way to kick off the summer in a fun, safe and informative way,” said Norfolk County Sheriff Patrick McDermott. “Bringing families together and providing opportunities for fun and learning is what the Sheriff’s Summer Safety Fest is all about.”

Attendees visited with local community organizations, learned about public

safety resources, and enjoyed a variety of activities. There was a high-ropes course, a K9 demonstration, and a touch-a-truck area. The Sheriff’s Office also provided free food throughout the day.

Two additional Sheriff’s Summer Safety Fest are planned for July and August in Medway and Sharon.
