Plymouth Correctional Facility Earns Re-accreditation by the American Correctional Association

MSA

The Plymouth County Correctional Facility (PCCF) earned re-accreditation with a score of 99.6% on a recent audit conducted by The American Correctional Association (ACA).

The ACA commended Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office for excellence in leadership, a strong and experienced correctional staff, and an impressive array of inmate programs.

“I am thrilled but not surprised. I have always said we have the best corrections staff in the business," said Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph McDonald. "I am gratified to see that our staff earned this prestigious re-accreditation.”

For more than 152 years, the American Correctional Association has championed the cause of corrections and correctional effectiveness. They work with correctional professionals on the shared common goal of improving the justice system. The standards are based on valid, reliable research and exemplary correctional practice.
